We’ve had roaches since December and management refuses to take further steps to actually fix this. Our apartment has also been a consistent 80 degrees despite the thermostat being set to 63. We’ve put in multiple maintenance requests for these issues to no avail. Don’t move here if you’re looking for apartments with responsive management who care about your comfort and wellbeing

Even though the lease says no smoking on the property, our neighbors are constantly smoking cigarettes, both inside and outside in the common area to where it gets into our apartment. It is disgusting, and the office does nothing about this.

The laundry room is always messed up. Half the washers and dryers don't work and they always break again shortly after being fixed. Management takes forever to respond to emails and isn't helpful. They had my car towed out of the spot I pay for and said they couldn't do anything about it so I had to pay over $200 to get my car back. I'm leaving as soon as my lease is up, because I can't afford $3000 to break the lease

I lived at Coronado for 2 years. First, I'll talk about the apartment itself. Then my experience with management.
The apartment was clean and affordable. My unit received plenty of natural light, because it was roughly south-facing. My main issue with the apartment was noise. Traffic on Table Mesa is loud, but you'll probably get used to it. However, the buildings are old, so you WILL hear people walking around above you. The floor "creaks" as you walk around, and as your neighbors above walk... around. It's not really a sound you can get used to. The layout of the building is similar to a motel: some common staircases leading to outdoor walkways between front doors. I don't know all the layouts, but my bedroom was right along one of these walkways. You WILL hear people walking by your unit at night while you're trying to sleep. Much worse if you're near a staircase - I was consistently jolted awake when people simply moved up/down the nearby staircase, because their footsteps vibrated my room.
Now onto the management company - I really hope people consider the management team before they decide to move here. Simply put, you will not get your security deposit back. My deposit was $500, I'm not sure if that has changed. The minimum "cleaning" charges upon move-out will quite literally come to a higher total than your security deposit, so you will end up owing money to management.
For example, I was charged $300 for "touch-up" paint repairs. I'm attaching pictures that were provided by management for justification of this charge. Judge for yourself: do these damages require ~10 gallons of paint to repair? It is a ridiculous money grab from management.
I did not recognize the potential for these excessive charges when I signed the lease. My bad - I should have read the lease more carefully. However, the story does not end there.
Coronado management claims that they sent me bills in the mail to recover my debt. I did not receive them, and I confirmed they had my correct address. But sure enough, the debt collection agency that Coronado eventually retained had my correct address.
Then, when I contacted Coronado to inquire about the charges and request the pictures that are attached here, I was repeatedly rebuffed. My emails frequently went unanswered, and I was repeatedly told "we'll get back to you later today" etc. with no follow-up. It took weeks.
